We welcome to our tutoring staff Moussa Diallo, who also tutors at Tacoma Community College and recently received the Outstanding Student Award at the Math Advising Resource Center at Tacoma Community College.
Moussa is a native of Senegal in West Africa and is fluent in English, French (spoken in Senegal), Wolof (Native language of Senegal) and in Spanish. He came to the US about 8 years ago to pursue his education. Now Moussa is a permanent resident, and a holder of a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology. He’s is currently working on his second degree which is a Bachelor of Science in Math.
When asked about his long-term goals, Moussa has his sights set on a PhD in mathematics. “I want to become a professor at the University level. I love learning and sharing environments. I am also planning on getting into actuary (actuarial science) while I work on my master’s degree.”
Goodwill’s MATH Center recently opened it’s doors to offer 1-on-1 math assistance to help students with homework, complete their General Education Degree (GED), prepare students for the CASAS test through practice testing and tutoring in addition to providing a pre-employment math refresher for any job seekers needing math assistance.
