About the Course

Adults that are interested in earning their General Education Development (GED®) to enhance their career goals or obtain a secondary education, can attend our quarterly classes designed to help then prepare for the GED tests. This class offers structured curriculum delivered by qualified basic skills instructors focusing on:

  • Language Arts
  • Social Studies
  • Science
  • Mathematics
  • Reading Comprehension
  • Writing Skills
  • Communication
  • Employability Skills
  • Digital Literacy

Youth GED Program

About the Course

Our Youth GED® program is designed for young adults between the ages of 16 and 24.  It  provides hands-on and classroom education as an alternative pathway for students to realize their full potential and obtain their diploma. Goodwill’s test prep program is free and includes test fees and transportation to class.

In partnership with Bates Technical College and Tacoma Public Schools, students will earn their GED certificate through:

  • Online learning
  • Resource connections
  • Onsite classes
  • One-on-one tutoring
  • Individualized case management – Unique to Goodwill!

Class Begins at 9am or 12pm (choose your session)

Monday-Friday

Requirements: Age 16-24, currently not enrolled in a high school program, and has not graduated from high school AND is significantly deficient in credits

Join us for an Orientation

Wednesdays at 2:00pm in the REACH Center (1st Floor)

714 S. 27th St. | Tacoma, WA

  • Students should expect to spend 1.5 – 2 hours for orientation and assessment
  • Parking is free.
  • Bus #3 stops on Center St in front of the REACH Center and buses #45 & 48 run along Yakima (we’re on Yakima and 27th St)
