Empowering Youth Through Work Experience

The Youth and Young Adult Work Experience program at Goodwill provides valuable opportunities for individuals aged 16 to 24 to gain hands-on job experience. This program is designed to help young people develop the skills they need to enter the workforce confidently and successfully.

Program Highlights

  • Who Can Join? The WEX program is open to youth and young adults aged 16 to 24. No referral is required—participants can enroll themselves (without a parent/guardian) by visiting our Milgard Goodwill Work Opportunity Center in Tacoma or contacting the program directly.
  • What Does It Offer? Participants engage in work experiences tailored to their career interests, supported by partnerships with local employers.
  • How Does It Work? Upon enrollment, participants are matched with roles that provide real-world job training, enhancing their skill sets and improving their employability.
