About the Course

Our Youth GED® program is designed for young adults between the ages of 16 and 24, providing online classroom education with testing scholarships and coordination. This program offers an alternative pathway for students to pass their four-part GED test and career plan for their next steps.

Goodwill’s test prep program is free to all eligible participants and includes supportive services with career and financial counseling.

In partnership with the participating school districts, this program is by referral only through Tacoma Public Schools, Longview Public Schools and Kelso School District.

What Do You Cover?

This class offers structured curriculum delivered by qualified basic skills instructors focusing on:

  • Language arts
  • Social studies
  • Science
  • Mathematics
  • Reading comprehension
  • Writing skills

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Ages 16-24
  • Currently not enrolled in a high school program
  • Has not graduated from high school
  • Have missed their graduation cohort
  • Internet connected device (assistance may be available)

Schedule

GED Preparation Class is offered through live online instruction with two hours of self-study required daily.

Class Schedule (online):

Monday – Thursday

9am-10am or 10:15am – 11:15am

GED Coordinator Activities (in-person):

Tuesday – Thursday

9am – 3pm by appointment

Requirements: Age 16-24, currently not enrolled in a high school program, and has not graduated from high school AND is significantly deficient in credits

High School Diploma+ (for Adults)

About the Course

Clover Park Technical College is onsite at the Milgard Work Opportunity Center to partner with Goodwill in offering High School Diploma+ credit and classes. If you are an adult (18+), you can work with your CPTC instructor on an individualized plan to finish your diploma. The program combines current courses with prior learning, as well as personal and professional experiences.

Most students can complete this class within 3-6 months!
