Every Job Needs Computer Skills - We'll Make Sure You're Ready

Whether you’re applying for your first office job or your workplace is going digital, we understand that using computers can feel overwhelming. At Goodwill, we’ve designed a focused, in-person training program to help you learn the basic computer skills that employers expect today.

Our Basic Digital Skills Training Program teaches the essential computer skills you need in today’s workplace. Over one week, you’ll learn in a supportive classroom environment where no question is too basic.

Don’t let computer skills stand between you and your next job opportunity. Our experienced instructors and hands-on training will make sure you’re ready for today’s workplace.

What you'll learn:

  • Microsoft Office basics, with a focus on Word for document creation and formatting
  • Organizing and managing files and folders
  • Using the internet safely and effectively in a work environment
  • Professional email communication and cybersecurity basics
  • Keyboarding practice to improve speed and accuracy (target: 35-40 WPM)

Jaci Sweet

Jaci Sweet loved her job in the home health nursing field but was ultimately let go because the position demanded technical competencies that she did not possess. “I didn’t have the computer skills I needed to work behind a desk and do the managerial side of the position.”
